Telomir Pharmaceuticals is an anti-aging biotechnology company dedicated to addressing the underlying causes of aging by developing targeted therapies that can extend healthy human lifespan. Their focus is on telomere biology and they aim to create treatments that enable age reversal, which would allow us to become young once again.
Feel welcome to share your own thoughts on this company in the comment section below as well. I will be happy to discuss and learn more about how you see their potential in this field.
The Solution
The core of Telomir Pharmaceuticals’ research is centered on telomeres, the protective structures at the ends of chromosomes. Telomeres play a crucial role in maintaining cellular integrity, but they naturally shorten as cells divide over time. This shortening process is a significant factor in cellular aging, which contributes to the development of age-related diseases.
Telomir 1
Telomir’s leading therapeutic candidate Telomir 1 is designed to activate telomerase, which is the enzyme responsible for replenishing and maintaining telomere length. By promoting telomerase activity, the aim is to slow down the aging process at the cellular level, and potentially delaying the onset of age-associated diseases and conditions.

Clinical trials in dogs and potentially humans
The journey of Telomir 1 began with pre-clinical studies on aged rats which showed very positive results and provided a foundation for the ongoing clinical study in dogs that is being conducted by Telomir Pharmaceuticals. In this clinical study the company is specifically looking to evaluate the potential for age reversal of Telomir 1. The study is set to conclude by Q4 of 2024. Preliminary results are already showing positive signs of Telomir 1 being able to increase telomerase activity by 40%.
Interestingly this particular study was highlighted in an ABC news broadcast, due to an elderly dog with terminal cancer receiving Telomir 1 after its surgical operation. The immediate results are quite fascinating. You can find the entire broadcast and news article here.
Telomir Pharmaceuticals are hoping to initiate human clinical trials with Telomir 1 once the clinical trial on dogs has completed, and if it demonstrates safety and efficacy of the drug. The human clinical trials are being planned for 2025.
The Company
Telomir Pharmaceuticals is based in Tampa, FL, USA, and was founded in 2022 by Chris Chapman, who unfortunately passed away in the summer of 2024.
In terms of funding the Telomir Pharmaceuticals did an IPO in February of 2024, through which they raised 7M USD. The company is listed on on Nasdaq with the ticker TELO. You can read more here.
Although the company has not been listed on the stock market for long the stock pricing has still remained more or less the same. The stock started around 5 USD per share, and is still sitting around that mark. This indicates some traction, but not an overwhelming confidence in the company from investors. This picture may change depending on the outcome of the clinical trials.
